Media Visibility

There are circumstances where you might want to make an item and the details of that item searchable to the public, but the item itself is to remain private. This is where our Media Visibility feature can prove very helpful.

Media Visibility is the process of being able to hide an image while still displaying the metadata related to that image online. This is an advantage where there might be copyright issues, for example.

Instead, a placeholder image, such as your organisation’s logo or a message, will be used instead, thereby protecting the image. This feature enables you to easily redact images while still making the metadata for those images searchable.
